The son of an unmarked Sivis barrister: Corvas bears the mark of Scribing from his left wrist to the elbow which he often covers with a glove and bracer as to avoid unnecessary attention as he is still disconcerted by its presence.
He and his younger unmarked sister, Cornixa, are both studying at the library although she has taken to the family business, and been inducted into Aureon’s Holt, while he is much more the day dreamer and spends much of his time bird watching in lieu of his studies. Cornixa disapproves of her brother’s hobbies and often blackmails him with threats of alerting their father, Bennetti Coralyn d’Sivis to his negligence.
Recently, and attempt to capture an injured Arrowhawk resulted in a fall off a roof, breaking the boys leg and trapping him in a rain gutter for three days. The incident is believed to have awakened his dragonmark and allowed him to signal help before he passed out from exhaustion and thirst.
As as result of the incident, one of the senior librarians has seen fit to ban him from the stacks for the rest of year, allegedly to temper his curiosity. Bennetti had furnished him with a servant, Jack Daw, for the duration of his recuperation, who fetched library materials and kept him on task with his studies but now that he has regained the use of his legs and can walk again, his father sees no further need to spend coin on the valet. Corvas can only afford to continue paying his valet one more day as he has suffered the severance of his stipend thanks to his meddling sister.
Corvas still walks with a limp and suffers a paralyzing fear of heights. He and his roommate Wren are currently members of the research group called “Claw, Claw, Bite.” Corvas has recently become best friends with Vireo Venticarlo, although he’s a little fuzzy on how he knows his new best friend, he has invited Vireo into Claw, Claw, Bite at Vireo’s request.
